Mike Waltz is No Longer APNSA
Mike Waltz, Donald Trump's (former) APNSA (Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs) is expected to leave his position in the Trump administration. President Trump has declared that he will nominate Waltz for the position of U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. This announcement comes after Waltz was involved in a scandal when he accidentally invited a journalist to a group chat in which many members of the Trump administration were discussing bombing Yemen. Marco Rubio will serve as interim APNSA while also keeping his current role as Secretary of State.
