U.S. Airstrikes Iran Nuclear Facilities

On Saturday, June 21,  the United States initiated multiple bombing attacks on three nuclear facilities in Iran. This further intensified the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East. President Trump said that the attacks were "very successful" on Truth Social. This is the first time the U. S. has become overtly involved in the Israeli offensive. Iran's foreign minister called the attacks an " outrageous, grave and unprecedented violation" of the UN Charter. President Trump wrote on social media days later after a supposed ceasefire was initiated "ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly 'Plane Wave' to Iran," also writing " Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!" However, on Tueday, hours after agreeing to the ceasefire, Israel launched further strikes on Iran, and was rebuked by President Trump for doing so.
