Erez Reuveni, a career Justice Department lawyer, informed Congress that DOJ figureheads had schemed to intentionally defy court orders and hold back information from judges in an effort to further the Trump administration's deportation objectives. Reuveni was fired in April after telling a judge that an immigrant was wrongly deported. Reuveni's complaint said that Emil Bove, a Justice Department attorney and former Trump lawyer, "stressed to all in attendance that the planes need to take off no matter what" at a DOJ meeting on March 14. Bove also told the group to consider telling judges "f**k you" and ignoring potential court orders. Bove's current title is Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General of the United States. The complaint also describe multiples times that the Trump administration pressed for Kilmar Abrego Garcia to be labeled as a member of MS-13 without finding any evidence to back the claim.
