Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer. A statement from the former president's personal office said "Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone." Biden posted "Cancer touches us all" on X regarding this. Finding a cure for cancer has been a focus for the former president ever since his son Beau died of brain cancer. President Obama tasked him with leading a government research project to find said cure, which he continued during his own presidency.
